Kiddo's school's inventor fair was fun. Good times with paper air rockets at least. Also hit the Egypt exhibit at the museum since we were there. Kinda cool to say "look, this is 5000 years old".

Today I gave Fedora a try. It also runs 10-15C hotter than win7 and won't resume from suspend. So much for the theory it was a debian-based-distro issue.

Tried Ubuntu 12.04. With fglrx it actually resumed from suspend. Once... then never again. It also runs 10-15C hotter than win7, just like every other distro I've tried. Stupid windows working correctly...

Seems there was a little brush fire up the canyon. Just 5 acres and out now, but it took our power out for an hour. Lucky, given the 40+ mph wind of late.

Nope, #crunchbang doesn't resume after a suspend either. Odd, several do resume when testing from USB stick, but not when installed to hdd.
